Founded to improve the lives of young people at a time of great social upheaval, our Club has grown to become one of the UK's biggest youth centres.

We’re proud of our history and the legacy of our founders, who took action to support local youngsters working in the huge cotton mills around Bolton in the 1890s. However, the future of today’s young people is the really important thing.

The Club is here to help the young people of Bolton become the happy, caring and responsible citizens of tomorrow. To achieve this goal we provide a wide range of sporting and recreational opportunities, as well as support and guidance for the town’s most at-risk young people.

We’re lucky to have state-of-the-art facilities for our members to use, spread across four locations. Facilities like our football pitches, boxing gym, indoor climbing wall, performing arts studio and Enterprise Zone are busy hubs of activity. Our overall membership currently stands at more than 3,500 young people, with activity programmes delivered to nearly 2,000 members every week.

It’s a huge privilege and responsibility to serve the young people of Bolton. Our team of 40 full-time staff members is supported by a large number of part-time workers and many dedicated volunteers.

We have a range of key policies to help our staff deliver the best possible experience for our members. These ensure we take a consistent approach to addressing issues across all our activities, projects and programmes.
