Bolton Lads & Girls Club (BLGC)

Bolton Lads and Girls Club is a youth club and registered charity based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Over 128 years ago, we were one of the first organisations in the North West to recognise the importance of providing young people with a safe haven to spend their free time.

We are one of the largest youth clubs in the United Kingdom, with a membership of over 3,500 young people. Based in Bolton’s town centre, we are open 7 days a week, 51 weeks a year and welcome all young people aged 8 to 19 years old (up to 21 for young people with disabilities).

We offer a range of targeted and universal provisions including sports, arts, mentoring and community outreach work.

We’re a registered charity and state-of-the-art Youth Club in the heart of Bolton for 8 to 19 year olds (up to 25 for young people with a disability). Open 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year,  offering an exciting range of activities and opportunities accessible to all young people from across Bolton for just 50p.

BLGC encourages young people to be the best they can be by providing innovative activities, unique experiences and high-quality enterprise programmes. We understand the importance of supporting young people to meet their full potential while providing a safe place with friendly faces to talk to. We do all this from our base on Spa Road, Bolton and our other centres in Westhoughton, Barlow Park and our Hacken Lane Multi-sport BLGC facility.

Our Club was established in 1889, and has a rich history of providing the young people somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to. And although we’ve been around for generations, our Vision & Values remain the same, to always be there for the young people of Bolton. The dedication of our team to the Club’s offering means we’ve gone from strength to strength and even picked up a few awards on the way!
