“Pots of Gold” is an initiative, part funded by The Provincial Walsh Trust & BLGC, which aims to provide BLGC members with funding from £15-£100. This funding can be used to support BLGC members with their learning, skills and hobbies or to help to reduce stress. Young people can apply for this funding themselves, or with the support of an adult if needed.

Examples of what can be applied for includes: 

  • Sport equipment such as football boots, swim kits, martial arts gi’s.
  • Musical instruments, books and associated exam fees.
  • Tutoring, revision guides or open day visits.
  • Yoga, boxing or mindfulness courses.
  • Self care kits.
  • Gym or club membership.
  • And more.

Once applications have been submitted they will be reviewed by our Young Person’s Panel who make the final decision on funding allocations. (please note that the panel meet quarterly, however if it is urgent please contact us direct to discuss further)



Young People’s Panel

Our fully trained Young Person’s Panel will meet virtually every three months to review applications. This is a great opportunity for our members to get some valuable experience and knowledge for their futures.
