About the role
Bolton Lads & Girls Club is aiming to recruit a highly motivated, innovative Youth Work professional to the role of Youth Work & Safeguarding Manager . The role will work with the Head of PYS and existing staff and volunteer team to grow and develop the wide range of existing Universal Youth provision, focussing on the 13-19 age group, or up to 25 for disabled young people, whilst leading and embedding a culture of safeguarding.
You will support and develop a team of youth workers and identify and cultivate existing and new programmes of activity for young people from across Bolton. You will introduce continual improvements and ensure best practice in all service delivery whilst managing and achieving in line with KPIs.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of both recruiting and retaining young people into universal programmes within Youth Work organisations. They will have experience of managing, supporting and motivating teams including volunteers and young leaders. They will be working directly with the young people and staff team during Youth Work sessions and will take a highly flexible approach to their working pattern.
The ideal candidate will be organised and dedicated with the ability to plan effectively and deliver the highest quality service producing excellent results. They will have effective communication skills and will perform well under pressure and have a natural ability to work as part of a team.
The Youth Work & Safeguarding Manager is a senior position within the structure, will sit and contribute at DLT, and will lead all safeguarding work across our Universal Provision.
