October 2019 - Joanne Gavin, Volunteer Mentor/IV/Fundraiser
Joanne always goes above and beyond in supporting young people in Bolton. As well as being a fantastic volunteer Mentor and Independent Visitor for so many young people for over 10 years, Joanne is always ready to jump on board with any fundraising activities we hold. Joanne gives everything she can to the club and always will do, in particular organising and managing the many volunteers for BLGC’s Beer Festival this month! From all of Bolton Lads & Girls Club, thank you for being a fantastic volunteer and the difference you have made for our young people.
September 2019 - Gordon Corbett, Volunteer Driver
Gordon has been an amazing asset to the holiday club, without him the trips during the holiday club could not have gone ahead. Gordon drove on three trips during holiday club, enabling 30 young people across three weeks to access Eureka, Heaton Park and the play area. Our young people who access these trips do not always get the chance to experience these opportunities. Additionally, Gordon supports senior club members, by enabling 10 young people a week to access senior club, by picking them up from Farnworth and dropping them off at the club and then returning at the end of the session to drop them back off. Without Gordon committing to this our Farnworth members would not be able to access the club. Thank you Gordon, you truly make a difference for young people in Bolton!
August 2019 - Dave Quilliam, Volunteer Mentor
Over the past three years Dave has been a fantastic Mentor for two young people. Dave always makes a special effort to make each time with the young person he is mentoring special and has really built their confidence up. Thank you Ije, NCS would not be the same without you!
October 2018 - John Francis, Youth Club & NCS Volunteer
