About the Club:
Our Hacken Lane Facility has become a home for many of our Young People, and the football teams have become families. Football to our players is not just a sport, it offers friendships, pride, a sense of achievement, confidence and gives Young People the chance to be part of something brilliant.
This facility enables us to extend our sports offer to include rugby, athletics and rounders whilst giving more young people better facilities and opportunities to become sporting stars.
The £1.7million building comprises of four changing rooms with segregated shower and toilet facilities catering for sixteen people each, a disabled changing room and two smaller changing rooms with showers for two match officials. We have a full size 3g pitch installed with flood lights, along with redevelopment of the existing natural turf. The facility enabled us to expand our Club Football Teams from fifteen to twenty-five in its first twelve months of operation, now to a huge 34 football teams with football development from the age of 3.
Every year AO’s generosity and sponsorship of Hacken Lane has allowed us to ensure that Hacken Lane was of the very best standard, and very importantly, was a safe environment for all of our Young People, as well as being backed by a local firm who believed in our vision to enrich the lives of Young People.
AO’s funding has helped make the facility the best in the North West – as well as a very safe environment for all. The AO brand is extremely well known and it has been a privilege for our Young People and players to wear their brand with pride. The visibility of the AO brand is clear to see throughout our football provision.
It is their generosity and belief in our mission that enables us to keep Hacken Lane open, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.
